Probo Medical is proud to be a member of the AXREM Member Accreditation Scheme (AMA), a well-established program with over 2,200 registrants that has been running for over two years.
AXREM is the trade association representing suppliers of diagnostic medical imaging, radiotherapy, healthcare IT, and care equipment in the UK, with members providing most of the diagnostic and radiotherapy equipment in UK hospitals.
Our employees, in addition to carrying usual company-issued identification, will also present their AMA ID cards upon entering your site.
The AMA scheme is aligned with NHS requirements and policies, ensuring that our credentials meet high standards. As an employer scheme, AXREM underwrites the credentials of our employees against agreed criteria and performs inspections to ensure compliance with proper procedures.
Member employers in the scheme commit to adhering to NHS policies, including those related to DBS checks, vaccination policies, and health and safety. AMA membership cards feature the registrant's name, company, photo, and a unique ID number with a QR code. This QR code can be scanned to verify employment status instantly, without any specialized equipment.
We are aware that some NHS Trusts in England use third-party companies for credentialing and accreditation services. While these services are offered "free" to NHS Trusts, they often impose recurring annual charges on supplier organizations, which ultimately increase costs for the NHS. In contrast, the AMA scheme operates on a not-for-profit basis, helping to save the NHS millions of pounds each year while maintaining rigorous credentialing standards.
For more information about AMA
Building on the success of AMA, we have launched AMA Clinical, extending our low-cost credentialing services to all MedTech and pharmaceutical companies. This initiative helps reduce the cost of credentialing in the UK, benefiting the entire industry. For more information please visit AMA Information.
