We’re excited to announce the official opening of our new dedicated probe repair facility in our Gloucester offices in the UK. This expansion marks an important step forward in strengthening our service capabilities, reducing turnaround times for customers, and continuing to deliver industry-leading ultrasound probe repair solutions across the UK and Europe.
As demand for high-quality, reliable probe repair services continues to grow, investing in a purpose-built facility has allowed us to move our probe repair from the US to the UK, replicating their facility. The new facility is equipped with advanced diagnostic, testing, and refurbishment technologies designed to support a wide range of probe models and manufacturers.
With this expanded capability, hospitals and practices can expect faster turnaround times, replicated quality and control processes, and increased repair capacity with local technical support.
The new facility is led by Tim Cheese, Workshop Supervisor & Lead Engineer, who has years of technical and leadership experience which play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of engineering quality and operational efficiency. Tim brings extensive experience in probe diagnostics, repair methodologies, and workshop management, and he is focused on building a highly skilled engineering team that will support the next phase of Probo Medical UK’s growth. He even flew all the way to the US to visit the probe repair facility in Fishers, Indiana to fully document how we could replicate the same process and operation in the UK.
Under Tim’s leadership, the facility will continue to develop best-in-class repair processes, rigorous testing standards, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen both performance and reliability across all repairs.
The opening of this new facility reflects Probo Medical’s continued investment in the UK market to supporting hospitals, practices, and clinics with dependable, cost-effective repair solutions. As healthcare technology evolves and budgets tighten, the ability to maintain and extend the life of diagnostic equipment becomes increasingly important, and with our new repair facility, we will continue to reduce the need for equipment replacement.
We look forward to expanding the team within the facility and continuing to deliver the high-quality service standards that define Probo Medical worldwide.
