The GE HDxt 23x 1.5T MRI was removed recently from a Hospital in London by the Probo Mechanical Services team. The lift required a mobile crane which was over 55 m (180 feet) high and with a reach of 42 m (137 feet). The removal took the team around four days to complete and required the closing of two side roads including traffic management from London City Council, TFL and the diversion of the air ambulance helicopter.

Probo Mechanical Services Project Manager John Hoadley explained ‘The hospital were very happy with how all the road closures and bus diversions were managed, and the removal team's professional workmanship. We were able to de-install and remove the 4.75 tonne MRI with as little disruption as possible. This was an exciting project for us because of the positioning of the Hospital and the measures that needed to be taken during a busy period for the radiology department"
