The GE Voluson E8 is a premium ultrasound machine that has had a long standing as the best women’s health ultrasound on the market. As GE’s longest-standing product, this machine has many options that have been changed, upgraded, removed, or made obsolete over this long period.

The most notable technology improvements came with the popular HDlive 4D technology. This provides a very lifelike image in 4D obstetrics as it adds an adjustable light source on the in-utero fetus, creating shadows and more depth to the image.

The refurbished Voluson E8 price varies greatly, as the different software levels introduced more in-demand features. All units will have 4D imaging and provide excellent images for women’s health and OB/GYN. Nearly all with have the HDlive feature, which is preferred by many as the go-to 4D imaging mode.

The imaging concept and design of the GE Voluson P8 are primarily focused and optimized for OB/GYN applications. These are delivered through GE’s advanced imaging technologies, including Coded Harmonic Imaging with Pulse Inversion technology, Speckle Reduction Imaging, and CrossXBeam. Even though the GE Volsuon P8 system is at a lower price point, it supports in-depth imaging features, such as 3D/4D, HDlive, and HD-Zoom.

The GE Voluson P8 is an entry point to the Voluson ultrasound family, allowing physicians to enjoy all the technological benefits of GE’s innovations. GE’s Voluson series of ultrasound systems has always been one of our favourite ultrasounds. The P8 is a nice alternative to replace the affordable Voluson 730 series. The P8 has a small footprint, it’s lightweight, generates less heat, and is a great machine for a smaller budget and office.
