Our clinical specialists were pleasantly surprised at the performance of the DC-70. Its single-crystal volume 4D obstetric probe make it one of the better values in 4D imaging for “babyface” types of images. Its smart face technology is nice, but really it’s the great probe that takes this to a different level against its competitors from Samsung/Medison and GE.

This is a great value in ultrasound, facing off with higher-priced offerings from the larger manufacturers. The user interface is easy-to-learn compared to many other products, we find the interface of most Mindray products intuitive and efficient.

While its OB/GYN features are it’s most popular, it is also good for general radiology, vascular, venous, abdominal and other general categories. Its cardiology is not meant for higher-end applications and is designed for more general/basic cardiology exams. Its performance and versatility make it an excellent and economically smart choice for those looking for a mid-upper range ultrasound machine.

For OB/GYN and 4D imaging, the DC-70 is a solid alternative to GE’s S-series of Voluson ultrasound machines. This is especially true because the the DC-70 price comes with a 3-year warranty when purchased from Probo Medical, an authorized dealer for Mindray.
