Problems with your image? First perform an Airscan/Raindown test. Plug in your transducer and select it from your Probe Selection menu. Do not place any gel on the probe, and do not apply it to the body. Basically, you are "scanning air". If any of the following images represent what you're seeing, please check the box. If none are similar to your experience, move to the next section.
Imaging Issues or Anomalies
When scanning, are you noticing problems with the image? Check the items that best match your situation. If you aren't having image issues, you may move to the next section.
Cable Damage or Discoloration
Select the level of discoloration, stiffness, or location of any cuts or damage that exist on the ultrasound probe cable. If your cable is OK, move to the next section.
Motor Not Working in 3D/4D Mode
If your probe does not move/sweep when you enter 3D/4D mode, please check the box below.
CW Doppler Artifacts (Noise)
When CW Doppler is active, does any artifact appear visually or audibly? If so, tell us what is happening in the following situations: Choose "No Cable Movement" if color artifact appears when the cable is not shaken. Choose the "Away From Strain Relief" when the cable is moved further than 6" from the strain relief. Choose "Near Strain Relief" if the artifact appears when the cable is moved near the strain relief. If no color issues exist, move to the next section.
Color Artifact
When color Doppler is active, does any artifact appear? If so, tell us what is happening in the following situations: Choose "No Cable Movement" if color artifact appears when the cable is not shaken. Choose the "Away From Strain Relief" when the cable is moved further than 6" from the strain relief. Choose "Near Strain Relief" if the artifact appears when the cable is moved near the strain relief. If no color issues exist, move to the next section.
Probe Lens/Membrane Damage 3D/4D Probe
Carefully inspect the lens (membrane) on your 3D/4D probe surface and identify any defects or damage on the probe lens. If there are no issues, please move to the next section.

Probe Connector Issues
Select any issues you are experiencing with your probe connector's housing, connector pins, or locking mechanism.
Strain Relief Issues
The "strain relief" is is the slightly flexible section that connects the ultrasound probe to its cable. Inspect the strain relief and select any issues that exist.
